| 002 What Is Yoga? |
Yoga means to unite. It comes from the root Sanskrit word “yuj” which means to “yoke¨. In this lecture, Sri
Swamiji
will unveil for us the deeper meaning of yoga. Born to a master yogini, and having been a yogi since childhood, Sri
Swamiji has a wealth of experience from which to share. |

| Sri H. V. Prasad |
| 003 The Healing Power of Nada (Sound) Yoga |
Listening to Sri H. V. Prasad will take you back to ancient times. His powerful voice effortlessly recites the
timeless mantras allowing the healing vibration of mantras to be felt. The Sanskrita mantras are pure vibrations that
naturally align the body, mind and spirit. Thus, the cakras become more aligned, enabling the prana (chi) to flow.

| 001 TriYoga Prasara Level 1 |
In this workshop, Swamini Kaliji will present TriYoga Prasara Level 1 (Earth) based on the essential five elements of
Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. The flow unfolds through the seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. You
will experience the essence of true yoga, the art and science of yogaflow with
the TriYoga Flow fundamentals of
relaxation-in-action, wavelike spinal movements and economy of motion.
TriYoga Flows (Prasara), a complete
hatha yoga method, is the union of posture, breath and focus - or asana, pranayama and mudra. With the systematic
approach, students can remain with Basics or progress to Level 1 and subsequent levels. Within each level, students
increase their knowledge of posture and flow, as well as strength, flexibility, endurance, prana (chi) and breath
control. Through sustained awareness on all aspects of the practice, the movement of body, breath and mudra
harmonize and the
inner flow naturally emerges. |
 |
| 004 TriYoga Prasara Level 2 a Deeper View of TriYoga |
In this workshop, you will start with TriYoga Prasara and continue with a focus on mudra, breathing practices,
concentration techniques and meditation. Prana Vidya translates as knowledge of Prana. Prana or Chi is the
primary life-force for all beings. |

| 101 Yoga for Everybody |
The intention of this class is to give beginning students and teachers the opportunity to participate in a class of asana and pranayama that is accessible to people who may not be so experienced, strong, flexible or young, which actually describes a large percentage of the population and for whom the more dynamic styles of yoga are not as readily accessible. It will include a selection of asanas from the Satyananda/Bihar Yoga tradition, known as the Pawanmuktasana series. The practice of Pranayama (similar to Qi Gong)is such an important component of a balanced yoga practice that a firm understanding of our basic breathing mechanism, ways to control it, and how to balance and expand it is required. Without sound foundations in correct breathing habits being established the more advanced techniques of pranayama with their many benefits will be inaccessible. |
 |
| 102 Yoga Nidra and Meditation for Beginners |
There are very few yogic practices that compare to Yoga Nidra for its relevance to the needs of people living in this busy century. Yoga Nidra has many benefits and applications from the simple but highly important one of deep relaxation through to being employed as a technique for change in our habits and attitudes which in turn can change who we are. |
 |
| 103 Many Pathways up the Mountain - (Lecture by Omteertha) |
While many people understand yoga to be the performance of yogic postures (asanas) the fact is that the width and depth of yoga is indeed far vaster. Yoga is a multifaceted collection of practices and underpinning concepts, and asana on its own is only one aspect of a branch of the wider yoga called Hatha Yoga. There are many other branches of equal importance particularly for expanding our awareness and performance into the other dimensions of ourselves. Major branches identified by Swami Omteertha during this lecture include Raja, Bhakti, Gyana, Karma, Mantra Yoga, and Hatha Yoga. |
 |
| 108 Yoga of Vibration – (Lecture by Omteertha) |
Our life is filled with gross and subtle dimensions and while yoga is capable of providing many obvious benefits to our body and our level and quality of energy, it is equally concerned with elevating the mind. This mind which we use in day to day life for perception and cognition ordinarily acts through the senses. But through meditative yoga practices such as Nada and Mantra Yoga we can introvert the senses and turn the mind inwards where inner knowledge abides. Mantra and Nada Yoga make use of sound vibration to achieve this end. |

| 109 Salutations: Surya Namaskara with bija mantras, Pranayama with Kumbhak & Bandhas |
Salutations to the sun are an integral part of physical practice in many yoga traditions. While the physical benefits of this very complete practice are widely known, this practice has other dimensions not so well known. Each posture within this sequence has a discreet effect on the subtle layers of ourselves which can be magnified by moving our awareness to these gross and subtle regions through focus and use of specific mantras. |

| 104 Asana and Pranayama in the Satyananda Style for experienced practitioners |
This class will give students the opportunity to experience the classical asanas popularised around the world by disciples of Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh. For this class, students will need intermediate strength and flexibility and be comfortable with performing inverted postures. Important vitalising, balancing cooling and tranquilising pranayamas will be introduced along with some time set. |
 |
| 105 Pratyahara the Journey from Outer to Innerr |
While many students of yoga have experienced with joy the relaxation benefits of reclining in Shavasana or practicing Yoga Nidra not so many are aware of where this practice fits into the wider understanding of the purpose of yoga practice. In the same way we know on some level that meditation is good for us but how and why? This workshop will address the positioning of Yoga Nidra and the meditation practice of Ajapa Japa in the context of Raja Yoga. At the experiential level the practices will be used to introduce the chakra kshetrams and their bija mantras and psychic pathways which in turn will provide underpinning knowledge for the following lecture and workshop on Chakras. |
 |
106 Yogic Physiology: Nadis, Prana, Chakras and their Bija Mantras: The practice of Chakra Dharana - (Lecture by Kriyatama) |
What we in the west call energy, that the yogis from India call prana and traditional Chinese doctors call Qi are of course referring to the same thing. In this workshop Swami Kriyatma will be offering an understanding of the yogic terminology concerned with this aspect of Yoga known as Kundalini Yoga. Terms and concepts covered will include: nadis, prana, chakras, bija mantra and visualisation. This workshop will make use of the practice of Chakra Dharana to complement this understanding. |
 |
| 107 Yoga for Everybody |
How much time can and should one allocate each day for the practice of yoga? What order should I do my practices in? Should I push harder or go more gently? With Yoga being such a large body of knowledge it becomes quickly apparent that there are as many answers as there are questions. Swami Kriyatma will be sharing his opinion gained from his own long experience and his own hunger to know the answers to these very same questions. The asanas and pranayamas chosen for this workshop are selected and sequenced in such away that most people with average health strength and flexibility will be able to find an appropriate balance of challenge and ease so that their practice is sustainable. |

110 Transformation of mind through working with the 5 elements: The Tattwas and the practice of Tattwa Dharana |
From the Tantric perspective this body that we are dealing with is an aggregate and composite of five Tattwas or elements. While intellectually it may be convenient to separate ourselves into body mind and emotion in reality these dimensions are inextricably interwoven. The Tattwas are the substratum upon which all these layers manifest and interplay. Tattwa Dharana makes use of these interconnections between the elements and the multiple dimensions of our selves so that we may in time expand our energy and awareness. |

| 301 Fundamentals of Iyengar Yoga - Grounding and Alignment |
The groundwork for Iyengar Yoga is found in the standing postures. Here, structural alignment is learned and strength is
developed. In this workshop, students will focus on aligning the body to find the inner quietness of each pose. According to
Guruji, B.K.S. Iyengar: "It is through the alignment of my body that I discovered the alignment of my mind, self and
intelligence. Alignment from the outermost body to the innermost is the way to bring our own personal Reality into contact with
the Universal Reality." |
 |
| 302 Grounding and Alignment - The Art of Balancing |
Firm grounding from standing poses enable one to further build strength for balancing poses. Many people find balancing pose
challenging because they cannot find the centre of the body. This happens as one lack awareness on what is happening on the feet
as well as mental focus. In this workshop, you will explore poses standing on one leg as well as standing twist. This will further
build strength on grounding the feet. At the same time, it will provide more concentration and mental clarity. |
 |
| 303 Free the Hips |
The hip joint is a highly complex structure of the body. The tilt of the pelvis determines the curves of the back. A well- balanced
pelvis ensures adequate space, position and health for the organs contained there. Hip movement is also related to knee
movement as some of the muscles of the hip joint also cross the knee joint. Common aches and pains in the knees are frequently
rooted in the tightness of the hips. In this workshop we'll be exploring poses that bring balance to the hips and pelvic girdle. |
 |
| 304 Stabilize the Shoulders to Release the Neck |
Many yoga students become trapped by their problem shoulders that sometimes lack strength or or are too
tight to allow freedom
of movement. Neck tension and postural problems result. In this Iyengar yoga workshop participants will focus on the shoulders
and upper back in order to release the neck and to come
into a state of harmony of body and mind. |
